JIEDDO’s (Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization) mission is to focus (lead, advocate, coordinate) all Department of Defense actions in support of Combatant Commanders' and their respective Joint Task Forces' efforts to defeat Improvised Explosive Devices as weapons of strategic influence.

The REF (Rapid Equipping Force) is an organization that takes its operational guidance from the G-3 and reports directly to the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army. It has a broad mission to rapidly increase mission capability while reducing risk to Soldiers and others.

Provides leadership and supervision for leader development and professional military and civilian education; institutional and collective training; functional training; training support; battle command; doctrine; lessons learned and more.

The National Simulation Center provides the Army with integrated, relevant simulations and simulators to conduct training and Mission Rehearsal exercises, enabling the Army to execute full-spectrum operations in a Joint environment.

The Combat Studies Institute (CSI) is a military history 'think tank' which produces timely and relevant military history research publications and contemporary operational history for the U.S. Army. CSI also conducts battlefield staff rides and provides other types of educational and historical support to Army units and commands upon request.

The Army Capabilities Integration Center designs, develops, integrates and synchronizes force capabilities for the Army across the DOTMLPF imperatives into a Joint, Interagency, and Multinational operational environment from concept through capability development.

The Soldier Battle Lab supports the Army’s Vision and Transformation goals by conducting live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) experiments to gain insights, impacts, and recommended changes to Doctrine Training Leadership Organization Material Personnel Facilities, (DTLOMPF), based on rigorous analytics and inputs from Soldiers and their leaders, as well as emerging technologies and materiel initiatives to support the Current and Future Force.

FCS (Future Combat Systems) is the Army’s modernization program consisting of a family of manned and unmanned systems, connected by a common network, that enables the modular force, providing our Soldiers and leaders with leading-edge technologies allowing them to dominate in complex environments.
